This is my good friend Rebecca that I always take pictures of, she does such an amazing job with the "serious" look. These images were taken in Helper, Utah with my new Nikon D90, these were also edited with Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, I plan on getting Lightroom soon because i love it so much more but Elements does a descent job for sure.

Something Old Something Brand Spankin New...

Helper Utah is really one of my favorite places to take pictures, it's filled with so much history and art but it still hasn't reached the tourist trap status. Previously i have been using the Nikon D40 6 Megapixel DSLR (I'm a huge Nikon fan). Luckily for this Christmas my amazing parents surprised me with the brand spanking new Nikon D90 (so new the "how to" books for it don't come out until february and march). These pictures above and from now on will be taken with this camera, it is a 12 megapixel DSLR with a Nikkor lens that has VR as well. needless to say i am stoked and more than happy to know that my parents believe in my ability to make this my career :]. The results are fantastic, there were some glitches but it was due to my lack of knowledge of suck a ballin camera haha.

From now on I'm going to try and keep my blog up to date so look out for new stuff!

so here's the deal, i'm really trying to get scholarships to go towards my schooling for the next few years. While looking for scholarships i fell upon a competition where if i pass the first round I get $150 dollars or so then i can go on the the second round and compete for $1000.

Blood Red

WARNING SEMI-SCARY IMAGES

so for my digital photography class we were finally given the assignment of: scary. i hereby entitle myself the queen of macabre, my good friend Jenna Jeppson is so willing to do anything for me and so a brought out the bottle of blood and she stuck her hands right in it! lol.

My photography teacher was nice enough to let me borrow his lighting kit and it makes me want one even more!

These are truly some of my favorite photos I have ever taken, we had to take them for my digital photography class and we edited them with Adobe Lightroom which i love.

I plan on putting these photos in the student art show at the end of the year and im even going to see if i can sell them.

Photshoot Anyone?

So i LOVE doing photoshoots, whether they be for seniors, families, or just for fun. I totally believe that practice makes perfect so thats why i do them so much. You really have to see your growth in such a field and because it is such a visual thing you can totally see it.

I'm going to the U next year and I dont need a portfolio but I am still working on one that I can have for jobs and other things.

This is where you come in! If you are interested please let me know!

A couple of weekends ago I got the opportunity to take my first senior photos! Her name is Annie and she is from the Price area and she is so pretty!

I was so nervous because this is the first time i have charged anyone for a shoot. I think that i am finally ready and have enough experience to where i can.

They really loved them though! they ordered a lot and it came out to around $100 which is GREAT!

These are some photos i have taken recently of my sister and her cute little family. We just went to a local park and had a great time climbing trees and finding great photo opportunities.

Updates and Seniors...

ATTENTION!!

ok so i cant really get into the whole blog thing but i just wanted to let everyone know something...

i am doing senior photos!!! i just had my first shoot for this yesterday and it went great, i will try to post them soon so keep looking.

so here is the pricing...

there will be a standard $50 sitting fee on ALL shoots...

from there you have two options, i can either A) give you a cd with the pictures you have selected for me to edit. or B) I can have the pictures sent off (which would probably be the best choice).

if you choose option A, after the shoot you can choose X amount of photos for me to edit and PRESTO! you get a cd with them on it... OPTION A WILL COST $75 TOTAL

if you choose option B, after the shoot we will figure out a photo package that best fits you then i will edit the images you choose for the package and send them off, then i should get them back in about a week...OPTION B WILL COST $50 + PRICE OF PRINTING (price of printing usually comes out to $20 or $30)

I use a site called shutterfly and they are really dependable and should get your shots back within a week or two.

as far as traveling goes im willing to travel up north under reasonable conditions considering the standard sitting fee will move up depending on how far i have to travel.

"Emotional"

Here's another photo of my mask..i love it, i tried to make this look very vintage and somehow it reminds me of the Phantom of the Opera.

So for my outdoor photography class our first assignment was to take an "emotional photo". I thought this was pretty emotional and it was taken outdoors so there ya go! lol

so these are a few of my favorite photos that I have taken in the past little while...my parents were so amazing and bought me a really nice flash for my hot shoe and so i had a great idea for a shoot. My dear friend's Jenna and Brie are so willing to do anything for my pics so when i mentioned the words "liquid eyeliner" and "ponyhawks" they were all for it. Well anyways these pics were actually taken in total darkness but with my flash it looked like freaking day haha...i think i will call this set "The Jokers Henchmen"

hey everyone :] so im way too used to myspace for this haha, but i decided it would look more professional and have easier access to my pics through a blog like this. Well what is there to say? i love photography with all of my heart, i always have (i even did a science fair project on it a long time ago haha). I have also always wanted to do something with art...I never knew my Grandpa Koss that well and he was an artist so in some silly way i feel close to him when i do this :] ok ok enough with the sappy stuff youre here to see some photos aren't you? well i figured for my first time blog experience i would post some of my latest stuff and then maybe later on get into some of the photo shoots ive done :] oh and if anyone is ever interested in modeling or anything just get ahold of me....ill eventually get the kinks out of my blog when i figure out how it works.
