"Princess"

This shoot was inspired by the advertising shoot done for Vera Wang's fragrance: Princess. I wanted a shoot a little out of the ordinary with a little more emphasis on the location and outfit/accessories as well as the model. Becca is a great model and i also have to say that our friend Micheal Crespin did an amazing job as stylist and chair lifter :]

update :]

This is an older photo that i took with my Nikon D40 back at the beginning of the school year (as you can tell from the warm looking weather). I start my special problems class next week and im working on some stuff for my advertising stuff so trust me you will see some D90 work in all its glory pretty soon :]. As of right now if you really wanted to see anything from my D90 it would be all images heading for the newspaper seeing as i have been getting swamped with activities i have to take pictures for... As for update with the Art Institute of Salt Lake City, most likely i am going :] i still am using the U as a backup plan just in case i decide that i want a little less debt from student loans when i graduate haha ughh. The thing is i know that if i dont do this i think i will regret it, consider this the letter from Disney and im not staying on the farm :] p.s. if anyone would like to donate to the stephanie needs to eat fund because all of her money is going to college, feel free....totally kidding haha :]

my best friend court (below) took this pic while we were messing around with some photos and i decided to edit it, whats funny is it unintentionally turned out kinda creepy which is kinda my signature thing (as my photography teacher has duelly noted).

a sheet and a multicolored light..

i love my friend courtney :) she always wants to do shoots and i am more than willing, today we took a really simple shoot that turned out with some random yet pretty cool shots..we dove into my costume trunk and got out some funny stuff!

decisions...decisions...

so i found out today that the art institute that is in Salt Lake now has a photography program and im pretty stoked because at one time i was going to the one in Denver and now i have this option, sooo here is my decision, i either go the the U of U which would be cheaper but less focused on photography or i could go to the art institute and do basically just a crapload of photography stuff which i really really want. My mom and I are going to an open house on monday to see what its all about...i hate making these decisions haha i thought i was finished with this when i graduated high school :S hehe oh welllll

because i can :)

So when I really bored and slightly artistic I set up my camera with a self timer and take pictures of myself...think of it as getting what i want with the materials i have. I love editing photos and ive been told that i have an "urban outfitters" approach to pictures that have models included.

Oregon and a New Semester

These are some older photos i took with my Nikon D40 over the summer during a family vacation to the Oregon Coast. It's one of my favorite places on earth and there are so many photo opportunities. :]
I probably wont be posting anything new for a little bit...this semester is a little more hectic for me and its only the second day lol but i do have a special problems photography course so you definately will be seeing some more advanced stuff plus some of the art that i will be attempting in my painting and advertising illustration classes.
